“JEREMIAH SMITH: THE NEXT BIG THING IN OHIO STATE FOOTBALL”

Jeremiah Smith is a name that Ohio State football fans are going to be hearing a lot of in the coming years. The talented young linebacker has already made a significant impact on the Buckeyes’ defense, and he’s only just getting started.

Smith, a 6-foot-3, 235-pound sophomore from Owasso, Oklahoma, was a highly touted recruit coming out of high school. He was ranked as one of the top linebacker prospects in the country, and he had offers from some of the biggest programs in college football.

Despite the many options available to him, Smith ultimately chose to sign with Ohio State. He was drawn to the Buckeyes’ rich tradition of excellence, as well as the opportunity to play for one of the most respected defensive coaches in the country, Jim Knowles.

As a freshman, Smith saw limited action on the field, but he made the most of his opportunities. He recorded 10 tackles and a sack in his first season, and he quickly established himself as one of the top young linebackers in the Big Ten.

This season, Smith is expected to take on a much bigger role in the Buckeyes’ defense. He’s been working hard in the offseason to improve his strength, speed, and agility, and he’s already seen significant gains.

“Jeremiah has been doing a great job,” said Knowles. “He’s a very athletic kid, and he’s got a lot of potential. We’re excited to see what he can do this season.”

Smith’s teammates are also high on him. “Jeremiah is a beast,” said defensive end Zach Harrison. “He’s got a lot of speed and agility, and he’s always around the ball. He’s going to be a big-time player for us this season.”

As the Buckeyes prepare to take on the challenges of the 2023 season, Jeremiah Smith is ready to play a key role. With his talent, work ethic, and dedication, he’s got the potential to become one of the top linebackers in the country.
