Ohio State WR Emeka Egbuka Announces Major Career Decision

 

The Ohio State Buckeyes fielded one of the best rosters college has seen in the past decade, with stars like wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, safety Caleb Downs and freshman wideout Jeremiah Smith.

 

Ohio State capped off the 2024 college football season with a national championship behind the success of their star athletes, finishing the year with a 14-2 record.

 

Following the national title game, where the Buckeyes defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 34-23, to win their first championship since 2014, Egbuka announced his future plans.

 

 

On Friday, Egbuka declared for the 2025 NFL Draft after four years with the Buckeyes.

 

During the 2024 college football season, Egbuka posted 10 touchdowns and 1,011 yards on 81 receptions. In the win over the Fighting Irish, Egbuka recorded 64 yards on six receptions, helping the offense produce 445 total yards and 22 first downs.

 

 

Throughout his four-year career with the Buckeyes, Egbuka totaled 24 touchdowns and 2,868 yards on 205 receptions.

 

 

Egbuka originally committed to Ohio State as the No. 1 wide receiver and No. 10 overall player in the class of 2021, per 247Sports.

 

The 6-foot-1 athlete now heads into the draft as one of the best wide receiver prospects along with Colorado’s Travis Hunter and Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan.
