The Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team is set to open play at the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Tournament on Wednesday, as they take on the winner of the Ole Miss-Auburn game.

The Lady Vols, who finished the regular season with a 22-7 overall record and a 12-4 mark in the SEC, earned the No. 3 seed in the tournament. They will face off against the winner of the 6-11 matchup between Ole Miss and Auburn, which will be played on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. ET.

“We’re excited to get started in the SEC Tournament,” said Lady Vols head coach Kellie Harper. “We know it’s going to be a tough tournament, but we’re confident in our abilities and we’re looking forward to the challenge.”

The Lady Vols have had a strong season, with wins over top-ranked teams like UConn and Louisville. They have also been led by a talented group of players, including senior forward Rickea Jackson, who is averaging 19.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.

“Rickea has been playing at an elite level all season,” said Harper. “She’s a dominant force on the court, and we’re going to need her to continue to play well if we want to make a deep run in the tournament.”

The SEC Tournament is one of the most competitive conference tournaments in the country, featuring some of the top teams and players in the nation. The Lady Vols will face stiff competition in the tournament, but they are confident in their abilities and are looking forward to the challenge.

“We know it’s going to be a tough tournament, but we’re ready for it,” said Jackson. “We’ve been preparing all season for this moment, and we’re excited to see what we can do.”

The Lady Vols have a rich history of success in the SEC Tournament, having won the championship 17 times. They will be looking to add to that total this week, as they take on the best teams in the conference.

“We’re proud of our tradition of success in the SEC Tournament,” said Harper. “We’re going to do everything we can to continue that tradition and bring home another championship.”

The Lady Vols’ first game in the tournament will be played on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. ET, and will be televised on the SEC Network. Fans can also follow the action on the Lady Vols’ social media accounts, as well as on the SEC’s website.

“We’re excited to get started in the tournament and to see what we can do,” said Harper. “We’re going to give it everything we’ve got and see where it takes us.”
