Los Angeles, CA – Luka Doncic, the Dallas Mavericks’ superstar guard, has been a force to be reckoned with in the NBA for years. But on Tuesday night, he achieved a milestone in a different jersey, recording his first triple-double as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Doncic, who was traded to the Lakers in the offseason, has been adjusting to his new team and role. But against the Denver Nuggets, he looked like his old self, dominating the game on both ends of the floor.

The 24-year-old guard finished the game with 35 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists, leading the Lakers to a 122-105 victory over the Nuggets. It was his first triple-double as a Laker and the 44th of his career.

“I’m just trying to play my game and help my team win,” Doncic said after the game. “It’s always special to get a triple-double, but it’s even more special when you get it with your new team.”

Doncic’s performance was a testament to his incredible all-around skills. He was unstoppable on offense, scoring from everywhere on the court. He was also a force on the glass, grabbing 12 rebounds and helping the Lakers dominate the Nuggets in the paint.

But what was most impressive about Doncic’s performance was his playmaking ability. He dished out 11 assists, many of which came on beautiful passes to his teammates for easy baskets.

“Luka is a special player,” said Lakers coach Darvin Ham. “He’s got the ability to dominate the game in so many different ways. Tonight, he showed us what he’s capable of, and it was a joy to watch.”

Doncic’s triple-double was also a milestone for the Lakers, who have been struggling to find consistency this season. With Doncic leading the way, the Lakers looked like a different team, playing with a level of energy and enthusiasm that has been missing for much of the season.

“We’re starting to click,” said Lakers forward LeBron James. “We’re starting to understand each other’s strengths and weaknesses, and we’re starting to play some great basketball. Luka is a big part of that, and we’re lucky to have him on our team.”

The Lakers’ victory over the Nuggets was also significant because it marked their third straight win. With Doncic leading the way, the Lakers are starting to look like a team that could make some noise in the playoffs.

“We’re feeling good right now,” said Doncic. “We’re playing some great basketball, and we’re starting to come together as a team. We’ve just got to keep it up and see where it takes us.”

As for Doncic, he’s just happy to be playing the game he loves. And with performances like the one he had against the Nuggets, it’s clear that he’s going to be a force to be reckoned with in the NBA for years to come.

“I’m just trying to enjoy the moment and have fun,” said Doncic. “I’m playing the game I love, and I’m surrounded by great teammates and coaches. What more could you ask for?”
