Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin has been making waves in the college football world with his impressive performances on the field. And now, one of his former teammates has given him a unique label that highlights one of his standout skills.

According to a recent interview with former Ohio State wide receiver, Garrett Wilson, Sayin’s arm talent is “pretty” impressive.

“Julian’s got a pretty arm, man,” Wilson said. “He can make all the throws. He’s got the touch, he’s got the velocity, he’s got the accuracy. He’s a special talent.”

Wilson, who played with Sayin at Ohio State during the 2021 season, had a front-row seat to witness the quarterback’s growth and development. And he’s not surprised to see Sayin thriving as the Buckeyes’ starter.

“Julian’s always had the physical tools, but what’s impressive is how he’s developed his mental game,” Wilson said. “He’s got a great understanding of the offense, and he’s able to make adjustments on the fly. He’s a true leader, and his teammates respond to him.”

Sayin’s arm talent has been on full display this season, as he’s thrown for over 2,000 yards and 15 touchdowns. He’s also shown off his athleticism, rushing for over 200 yards and 3 touchdowns.

But what sets Sayin apart from other quarterbacks is his ability to make plays outside of the pocket. He’s got a rare combination of speed, agility, and arm strength that allows him to extend plays and make throws on the run.

“Julian’s ability to make plays with his legs is unmatched,” Wilson said. “He’s got the speed and agility to get out of the pocket and make throws on the run. It’s a nightmare for defenses to deal with.”

As the Buckeyes continue to roll through the season, Sayin’s stock is rising rapidly. He’s now considered one of the top quarterback prospects in the country, and his name is being mentioned in the same breath as other top quarterbacks like Alabama’s Bryce Young and USC’s Caleb Williams.

But Sayin’s focus remains on the present, and he’s not letting the hype get to his head.

“I’m just trying to take it one game at a time,” Sayin said. “We’ve got a great team, and we’re all working towards the same goal. I’m just trying to do my part and help us win games.”

As the Buckeyes prepare to face off against their arch-rivals, the Michigan Wolverines, Sayin’s arm talent will be put to the test. But with his confidence, poise, and physical abilities, he’s ready to take on the challenge.

“Julian’s got the ‘it’ factor,” Wilson said. “He’s a winner, and he’s got the talent to back it up. I’m excited to see what he does next.”
