Andy Kelly Named to Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2025″

 

Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame has announced its class of 2025, and one of the inductees is a name that will be familiar to University of Tennessee football fans: Andy Kelly.

 

Kelly, a native of Dayton, Tenn., was a standout quarterback for the Volunteers from 1988 to 1991. During his time at UT, Kelly set numerous school records for passing yards and touchdowns, and he led the Vols to a pair of bowl victories.

 

“We are thrilled to welcome Andy Kelly into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame,” said Bill Emendorfer, executive director of the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. “Andy’s accomplishments on the field are a testament to his hard work and dedication, and we are honored to recognize him for his contributions to Tennessee sports.”

Kelly’s career at UT was nothing short of legendary. He was a two-time All-SEC selection and was named the SEC Player of the Year in 1991. Kelly also set numerous school records, including career passing yards (6,397) and career touchdown passes (36).
