When Ohio State plays Oregon on Jan. 1, he will return to the Rose Bowl where he broke his leg in the 2022 game, a 48-45 win for the Buckeyes over Utah. It figures to be an emotional day for him as he makes his return, but this time, he and his team will have national title aspirations.
Ohio State dominates in TV ratings once again
In unsurprising news, Ohio State dominated the TV ratings on Saturday.
The Buckeyes’ matchup against Tennessee, in the coveted prime-time slot on ESPN, drew 14.3 million viewers. It was the most-watched game of the weekend. It was also the second-most watched game of the 2024 season.
Notre Dame-Indiana was the third-most watched game of the year, and had 13.4 million viewers. It peaked at 14.8 million viewers. That game was held on Friday night on ESPN.
The two TNT/TBS/TruTV games didn’t do as well, which was to be expected.
Texas-Clemson drew 8.6 million viewers, while Penn State and SMU drew 6.4 million viewers.
