“It was during our game against Penn State on November 23rd,” Day said. “We were down 21-16 at halftime, but I could see the fire in our players’ eyes. They were determined to come out and make a statement in the second half.”

 

And make a statement they did. The Buckeyes came out of the locker room and scored 24 unanswered points in the third quarter, en route to a 56-27 victory over the Nittany Lions.

“It was an incredible journey, and I’m so proud of our players and coaches for their hard work and dedication,” Day said. “We faced a lot of adversity throughout the season, but we always found a way to overcome it and come out on top.”
