‘Golden Ball’: winning the award without social media – says former Real Madrid striker Rodri.

 

 

2024 Ballon d’Or winner Rodry has revealed he told former Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata he will accept the prestigious award individually without social media.

 

Rodri recently won this year’s Ballon d’Or beating strong rival Vinicius Junior.

 

 

The Spanish international received the most votes, beating the Brazilian player.

 

However, Rodri has now revealed what he told his compatriot Morata. “Alvaro Morata always told me: you are an idiot if I had social media you would have won the Ballon d’Or,” said Rodri Fabrizio Romano. “And as soon as I won … I said to him: ‘Look, the Ballon d’Or is in my hands. “He’s not on social media!” I wrote.
