KNOXVILLE, TN – The Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team hosted the Alabama Crimson Tide on Thursday evening at the Food City Center, and it was a thrilling matchup between two of the top teams in the Southeastern Conference.

In the extra period, it was all Lady Vols. Horston scored 5 points, including a 3-pointer with just over a minute to play, to help Tennessee pull away and secure a hard-fought 83-76 victory.

 

The win was a big one for the Lady Vols, who improved to 8-3 in SEC play and moved into a tie for second place in the conference standings. It was also a testament to the team’s resilience and determination, as they battled back from a tough loss on Sunday to secure a big win on Thursday.
