Over 2,000 students respond to Jesus at Ohio State campus revival, group says

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A recent campus revival at Ohio State University (OSU) has sparked a spiritual awakening among students, with over 2,000 responding to the message of Jesus Christ, according to the group that organized the event.

The revival, which took place on February 24-25, was hosted by Cru, a Christian ministry that aims to share the gospel with students on college campuses. The event featured worship music, testimonies, and a message from Cru’s national director, Clayton Jennings.

According to Cru, over 2,000 students responded to the message of Jesus Christ during the revival, with many indicating a desire to learn more about Christianity or to deepen their existing faith.

“It was incredible to see so many students respond to the gospel,” said Jennings. “We’re thrilled to see the impact that this event has had on the Ohio State campus, and we’re praying that this will be just the beginning of a spiritual awakening among students here.”

The revival was the culmination of weeks of planning and outreach by Cru’s Ohio State chapter. The group had been actively promoting the event through social media, flyers, and personal invitations, and had also partnered with several local churches to help spread the word.

Despite the cold and snowy weather, hundreds of students packed into the Ohio Union’s Archie Griffin Ballroom on both nights of the revival. The atmosphere was electric, with students singing along to worship songs and responding enthusiastically to Jennings’ message.

“I was blown away by the energy and the passion of the students,” said Jennings. “It’s clear that there is a hunger for spiritual truth among young people today, and we’re grateful to have had the opportunity to share the gospel with so many students.”

The revival was not without its challenges, however. According to Cru, several students who responded to the message of Jesus Christ reported experiencing spiritual opposition or pushback from friends or family members.

“It’s not uncommon for students to face opposition or ridicule when they start to explore their faith,” said Jennings. “But we’re praying that the students who responded to the gospel during the revival will be bold and courageous in their newfound faith, and that they will be a light to their peers on campus.”

Cru’s Ohio State chapter is planning to follow up with the students who responded to the gospel during the revival, offering them discipleship and support as they begin to explore their faith.

“We’re excited to see what God has in store for these students,” said Jennings. “We’re praying that this revival will be just the beginning of a spiritual awakening among students at Ohio State, and that it will have a lasting impact on the campus and beyond.”
