“I’m thrilled to be promoted to Pass Game Coordinator,” said Guerrieri. “I’m grateful to Coach Heupel for this opportunity, and I’m excited to take on this new challenge. Our passing game has made significant strides over the past two seasons, and I’m confident that we can continue to build on that success in the years to come.”

The promotion of Guerrieri is also a reflection of the Vols’ commitment to building a strong coaching staff. Heupel and his staff have been aggressive in recruiting top talent to Knoxville, and Guerrieri’s promotion is the latest example of that effort.
“We’re committed to building a championship-caliber program, and Matt’s promotion is a big step in that direction,” said Tennessee athletic director Danny White. “He’s a talented coach who has earned this opportunity, and we’re confident that he’ll do a great job in his new role.”
Guerrieri will begin his new role immediately, and will work closely with Heupel and the rest of the coaching staff to develop the Vols’ passing game. “I’m excited to get started in my new role,” said Guerrieri. “We have a talented group of players, and I’m confident that we can build on the success we’ve had in the passing game over the past two seasons. I’m looking forward to working with Coach Heupel and the rest of the staff to help the Vols achieve their goals.”
