COLUMBUS, OH – The Ohio State University Board of Trustees meeting on Friday was a celebration of the school’s rich football tradition, as the board honored the Ohio State football team for their outstanding achievements on and off the field.
The meeting, which was attended by university administrators, trustees, and athletic department officials, featured a special presentation to recognize the team’s accomplishments.
“We are proud to recognize the Ohio State football team for their outstanding achievements,” said Board of Trustees Chairman, Gary Heminger. “Their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence are a testament to the values of our university, and we are honored to celebrate their success.”
The presentation highlighted the team’s impressive achievements, including their Big Ten Championship wins, their appearances in the College Football Playoff, and their numerous academic and community service accolades.
Head Coach Ryan Day and several players, including quarterback C.J. Stroud, wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and defensive end Zach Harrison, were in attendance to accept the recognition.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by the Board of Trustees,” said Coach Day. “Our team has worked incredibly hard to achieve our goals, and it’s great to see their efforts recognized. I’m proud of our players, coaches, and staff for their dedication to excellence.”
The recognition also highlighted the team’s commitment to community service and academic excellence. The Ohio State football team has a long tradition of giving back to the community, with players and coaches participating in numerous charitable events and initiatives throughout the year.
In addition, the team has a strong track record of academic success, with numerous players earning academic All-American honors and graduating with degrees from the university.

The recognition was accompanied by a special video presentation, which featured highlights from the team’s games, as well as testimonials from players, coaches, and fans.
The Board of Trustees also approved a resolution to recognize the Ohio State football team’s achievements, which will be presented to the team at a later date.
In addition to the recognition, the Board of Trustees also discussed several other topics related to the university’s athletic department, including the ongoing renovations to Ohio Stadium and the university’s plans for future athletic facilities.
